More platelets

Received the following e-mail update from Vicki today:
===================================
Had to get platlets again. That is twice this week. The NP wants to transplant more stem cells. She doesn't think my platlets are coming back fast enough. If they do it I wouldn't have to stay in the hospital and it wouldn't involve anymore chemo. She says Dr Damon is thinking it is too soon to do another transplant. He wants to give me more time for my body to develop more platlets.

I am pretty discouraged and scared. Please pray or send good thoughts my way!

Prayers AND good thoughts coming your way, Vicki, from the frozen tundra of Wisconsin! This has been a long and very tough journey--it's not surprising you are sick & tired of being sick & tired! Please let those times of discouragement wash over you and fade away, and know that you are not alone as you face these challenges.
HUGS!

Hi Vicki,

They say the darkest hour is just before dawn....so hang in there the breakthrough is almost here. I guess you may have read the story of the 'Footprints in the Sand' - the best part is knowing that when you think you can no longer carry yourself, the Lord is carrying you in His arms! So go for it, savour every moment, it was wonderful to read that you made an outing to the park.....may you have many more such days and may the Lord continue to strengthen you and give you His peace. May He put a song in your heart, and grant you days of laughter and joy! God bless you. Mary K (Sharon's friend)
